Sync Tool – Best Practice – Credential Management

When integrated with a Symmetry Access Control System, then all card holders should be managed (added/deleted) via Symmetry and not in the Mobile Admin Portal. A credential (card holder) added via the Mobile Admin Portal Mobile will NOT sync to Symmetry by design.

There are instances when the user would need to add or delete via the Mobile Admin Portal, this would be for troubleshooting purposes only. For example, the requirement to allow a credentials access to be temporarily given/approved while the link to Symmetry is down/failed, or where a customized third party integration is in place.

Sync Tool - Enhancements

  • Memory Usage: Refinements made to memory usage when syncing large numbers of cards with images.

  • Email Address Changes: The Symmetry Mobile sync tool has been updated to sync email changes to the Mobile Credential Server when reactivating cardholders.
